Circumstances
over time often show us that something does not seem to be right with our
lives, that something serious seems missing, that it just does not seem
like we will ever 'get it all
together'. Trials and sufferings are so we will ask some questions
of ourselves. Our soul will
answer. All lessons of life are lessons of love:.Proverbs
3:12; Hebrews 12:6; Proverbs
12:13 "...the just come out of trouble."
The Great
Infinite Conscious Intelligence has already given to all of us His
mind, a mind that knows all things and has all power, and a life force
which cannot age since it is the essence
of eternal youth.
Man causes his own suffering
by his unwillingness, due to a combination of both confusion leading to
ignorance, and lack of desire due
to selfishness, to believe that there is a way
out of the mass mind
influence:.John
14:6.
From the time of birth,
we are
in a battle. That is why we are here:.2Corinthians
4:17 "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for
us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory."
The Infinite One know us
individually, and knows we have great spiritual capability. Because of
this He wants us to reach that potential. Some of us just can't seem to
grasp the future and our possible place in it. Trials are necessary to
turn one into 'gold'.
One may gain many possessions,
yet have a life filled with many lacks; unloving, unfaithful mate; kids
in trouble; and such other things which can tend to sap the heart of vitality.
In all trials there is
a reason.
Life is
designed
to take us down until we find the
answers that allow our lives to exist harmoniously.
Psalms
119:75 "I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right and that you in
faithfulness.(God
loves you and has
engineered your major life circumstances for ultimate
good).have
afflicted.(original
'forced to be in situations you dislike').me.".Why?
No one has ever walked the
Earth that has not wished that in some way life could be better for him
or her, even
King David.
"Be patient and tough; some
day this pain will be useful to you." ...Ovid
Life's heaviest
burden is to have nothing to carry!
Many of our spiritual sisters
and brothers in times past were
exposed to or were dealing with persecution:
1Thessalonians
3:3 "That no man should be moved by these
afflictions; for yourselves know that we.(Paul
and his group:.verse
4).are
appointed thereunto.".("appointed
thereunto":.John
16:2; 1Peter 2:12)
2Timothy
3:12; Acts 14:22
From this many today assume
in error, that we too must suffer similar things:.1Peter
2:18-21 "Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only
to the good and gentle but also to the froward. For this is thankworthy
if a man for conscience toward God endure grief suffering wrongfully. For
what glory is it if when you be buffeted for your faults you shall take
it patiently? But if when you do well and suffer for it you take it patiently,
this is acceptable with God. For even hereunto were you called, because
Christ also suffered.(original
can also mean 'experience'; He experienced for us, so we would not have
to, because he loves us).for
us, leaving us an example that you should follow his steps."
This does not mean that we
are to suffer as He did, otherwise it would negate His incredible sacrifice
for all mankind, but instead means that He left us an example by
how He daily lived, and He lived love; the words in the verse about
His example, have nothing to do with how He suffered and died, as He wanted
no control (Matthew 26:53) over
His
crucifixion, leaving it to occur as was previously planned by Him and
the Father so all mankind would benefit.
Philippians
1:29 "For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to
believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake."
From the original and put
together in English as best we can:.'For
you forgiven of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but even to [live as
he lived].'.(and
He lived a life of love, helpfulness and kindness)
2Timothy
3:12 "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer
persecution." From the original:.'Yes,
and all who will live godly through Christ Jesus.(meaning
His nature of love being in you and expressed by you).run
swiftly to reach the goal.'
Philippians
3:14 "I press toward the mark for the prize of the
high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
1Peter
4:12,13 "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which
is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you. But rejoice,
inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory
shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy.".(on
the word 'suffer')
Philippians
3:10 "That I may know him and the power of his
resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable
unto his death.".Colossians
3:3-24.
Romans
8:35-37; 2Corinthians 4:17;
James
1:2-4; Romans 5:3-5; 12:12;
1Peter
4:19; Psalms 34:19; Jeremiah
16:19.
Why the
Great Infinite One allows trials in our lives:.1Peter
1:7 "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of
gold that perishs, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise
and honour and glory at the
appearing of Jesus Christ.".How
it is more precious than gold.
Your are now Christ's workmanship
(Ephesians 2:10; 1Peter
2:9), He is cleaning you up, making you fit for the
great future you are to have:.1Peter
5:10.
That is why no matter how
tough it may be now, we should get our eyes off the self's problems in
this world and on our sure future:.2Corinthians
4:17;
John 14:28; Romans
5:2; Philippians 3:1,3;
4:4;
1Peter
1:6,8; 4:13. Be patient in tribulation:.Luke
21:19.
Many persons go through
similar emotions to what God the Father went through when He gave His Son
for the world; desperately wanting to alleviate
His suffering, and constrained
not to do so. In God's case, He
turned away from His Son. Why? Because God was involved in the
reasons why His Son was sent to earth.
In our case, it is perhaps
just as bad, when we are unable, for whatever reasons, to help another
as we deeply may want to.
Sometimes when there is nothing
other than prayer that we can do, we just have to turn our heartache over
to God.
Psalms
22:24 "For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted.....but
when they cried unto him, He
hears."
Ecclesiastes
9:12 "For man also knows not his time. As the fishes that are taken
in an evil net and as the birds that are caught in the snare, so are the
sons of men snared in an evil time when it falls suddenly upon them."
If one has the love of God
in him or her, then: 1Corinthians
13:7 "Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures
all things."
Romans
15:4 "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for
our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might
have hope."
1Thessalonians
3:3 "That no man should be moved by these afflictions. For yourselves
know that we are appointed thereunto."
Psalms
119:71 "It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might
learn thy statutes."
One now lives by faith.
2Thessalonians
1:5 ".....that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for
which you also suffer."
How do you see your slice
of the pie in the sky? Is it being sliced mighty thin right now?
The best way to forget all
your troubles is to wear a pair of tight shoes!
It is often not the greatness
of our troubles, but the littleness of our spirit that causes so much sorrow
and heartaches!
Life is a grindstone. Whether
it grinds a man down or polishes him up, depends on the stuff he is made
of!
Is life a car wash to you,
and you feel you are going through it riding a bicycle?
Sorrows are there so we will
need God and seek spiritual answers. Otherwise one may become irreparably
arrogant.
Some of you may be going
through sorrows and afflictions right now:.1Thessalonians
1:6 "And you became followers of us and of the Lord, having received
the word in much affliction, with joy
of the Holy Ghost." God's
nature of love in a person brings them much joy.
"Acts
14:22 "Confirming the souls of the disciples and exhorting them to
continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter
into the kingdom of God.".Why
it has to be like this.
Salvation is a free gift,
but it takes effort to do something effective with that gift towards a
great
reward:.1Peter
4:12,13,16,19;
2:20;
Hebrews
11:25.
Sufferings
are necessary for the interplay necessary for character development:.2Timothy
2:12-14; 3:12;
1Timothy
4:10; 2Thessalonians 1:3-5;
1Thessalonians
3:3,4.
Many people need to think
about their lives now. Instead many live today affected by past hurts,
past confusions, etc. If something is affecting you negatively, it has
yet to be dealt with by thinking about it in such a way as to resolve it.
This subject will help you to do this.....continue?
