To
prove what is the right way:.Romans
12:2 "And be not
conformed to this world, but be you transformed by the renewing
of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect
will of God."
The mind has to be transformed
by the Infinite One we refer to as God, which occurs after one makes
a decision to change to be
like God in wholeness, purity, etc., albeit because God was working
with you in the first place, or you wouldn't be at all interested in seeking
spiritual answers. Then
one comes to know God's will in His life.
Most men and women do what
they feel is right. Some though, do what they know to be wrong. In this
is the first step to opening to the
dark side.
1John
5:14,15 "And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we
ask
anything according to His
will, he hears us. And if we know that He hears us,.whatsoever
we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him."
So we need to know what God's
will is in order to be sure of an answer? Things occur in the interaction
between God and Christians through belief in Jesus Christ. Why?
What's God's will? To know
God's will, one must know that
he
is filled with the knowledge of His will:.Colossians
1:9,10 "For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease
to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge
of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. That ye might walk
worthy of the Lord.(or,
this is how one walks worthy of the Lord).unto
all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing
in the knowledge of God."
And know
this about love.
Things
from God come by believing. The convincing follows. We usually have
it backwards. We need convincing to believe. But that's not walking in
faith like Jesus did, is it?.1John
2:6 "He that says he abides in him.ought
himself also so.to
walk, even as he walked."
1Thessalonians
4:1 "Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort.(instruct).you
by the Lord Jesus, that as you have received of us how you ought to walk
and to please God, so you would abound more and more." Hebrews
11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to
please him. For he that comes
to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder
of them that diligently seek him."
Well, what are you asking
for:.Health?
Wealth?
Love.(a
right mate).Relief
from troubles.(still
got old troubles? Then you're not asking).Freedom
from fears? Expression.(an
exciting purpose here)?
Protection?
God's will is for us to be
resurrected
from the dead:
John
6:40 "And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which
sees
the Son, and believes on him may
have everlasting life, and I will raise
him up at the last day."
God's will is also to give
us physically what we ask for – if we can handle it:.James
4:3 "You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss.(original
Greek implies: 'you ask, but don't receive, because that, you ask in order
to ingratiate
your selfish pleasures'), that ye may
consume it upon your lusts."
John
10:10 "The thief comes not, but for to steal,
and to kill, and to destroy. I am come that they might have life, and that
they might have it more abundantly."
We say: "Where is it? I've
been asking for years and what have I got?" Well, if we are to believe
God when He says it's as good as done when we ask (Matthew
6:8; 1John 5:15), it will be;
just
not all in this life for most of us it seems.
But perhaps we have.unknowingly.been
off track in trying to obey God. Anyone thinking this
way just does not understand belief.
As far as God's concerned,
what you asked for is yours and is sure to come IF you believe.
And belief is easy! It's simply accepting what God has said as being true.
But, believe
what?
All of the answers to your
prayers
will come – in the great life that will carry on for you into
eternity, but so will answers also come in this life! To God, once
you are Christian, you are an eternal
being with him.
Many Christians need to more
clearly see this, oh so quickly passing physical life, in perspective.
The real joy begins in the next step.....continue?
