John
10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that enters not by the door
into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and
a robber.
John
10:2,3 But he that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
To him the porter opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his
own sheep by name, and leads them out.
John
10:4 And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them and
the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
John
10:5 And a stranger will they not follow but will flee from him, for
they know not the voice of strangers.
John
10:6 This parable spake Jesus unto
them; but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto
them.
John
10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
I am the door of the sheep.
John
10:8,9 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the
sheep did not hear them. I am the door. By me if any man enter in, he is
saved, and goes in and out, and find pasture.
John
10:10 The thief comes not, but for to steal and to kill and to destroy.
I
am come that they might have life and that they might have it more
abundantly.
John
10:11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd giveth his life for
the sheep.
John
10:12,13 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own
the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth.
And the wolf catches them and scatters the sheep. The hireling flees because
he is an hireling and cares not for the sheep.
John
10:14 I am the good shepherd and know my sheep and am known of mine.
John
10:15 As the Father knows me, even so know I the Father. And I lay
down my life for the sheep.
John
10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold. Them also
I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold,
and one shepherd.
John
10:17 Therefore does my Father love me, because I lay down my life,
that I might take it again.
John
10:18 No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have
power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment
have I received of my Father.
John
10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and you believed not. The works
that I do in my Father's name they bear witness of me..(works
of love and compassion)
John
10:26 But you believe not because you are not of my sheep, as I said
unto you.
John
10:27 My sheep hear my voice and I know them, and they follow
me..(*).
John
10:28 And I give unto them eternal life.(John
5:39).and they shall never
perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand..(Jesus
emphasized to go within)
John
10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man
is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
John
10:30 I and my Father are
one..(and
so are we one
with them)
John
10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law.(here,
here,
here
and in Psalms too – here),
I said, You are gods?
John
10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the
scripture cannot be broken;
John
10:36 Say you of him, whom the Father has sanctified and sent into
the world, You blaspheme; because I said, I am the Son of God?
John
10:38 But if I do, though you believe not me, believe the works, that
you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in him.
John
11:9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any
man walk in the day, he stumbles not, because he sees the light of this
world.
John
11:10 But if a man walk in the night, he stumbles, because there is
no
light in him.
John
11:11-13 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our
friend Lazarus sleeps;
but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. Then said his disciples, Lord,
if he sleep, he shall do well. Howbeit Jesus spake of his death; but they
thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
John
11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection,
and
the life. He that believes
in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.
John
11:26 And whosoever lives and believes in me never
dies. Believest thou this?
John
11:27 She said unto him, Yea, Lord. I believe that thou art the
Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
John
11:33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping
which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,
John
11:41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was
laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that
thou hast heard me.
John
11:42 And I knew that thou hearest me always; but because of the people
which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.(why
did God send Him to earth?).
John
11:45-53 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the
things which Jesus did, believed on him. But some of them went their ways
to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done. Then gathered
the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for
this man doeth many miracles. If we let him thus alone, all men will believe
on him. And the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation.
And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year,
said unto them, You know nothing at all, Nor consider that it is expedient
for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation
perish not. And this spake he not of himself. But being high priest that
year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; And not for
that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children
of God that were scattered abroad. Then from that day forth they took counsel
together for to put him to death.
John
11:57 Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had given a commandment,
that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might
take him.
