James 4:1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?.(*)

James 4:2 You lust.(original 'desire with passion to take whatever efforts to obtain' –.because in our superficial erroneous and 'insane' thinking we believe this will somehow complete us), and have not. You kill and desire to have, and cannot obtain. You fight and war, yet you have not, because you ask not..(*)

James 4:3 You ask and receive not, because you ask amiss, that you may consume it upon your lusts..(*)

James 4:4 You adulterers and adulteresses.(it is not sensuality here meant {as the context.elicits}, but greed and worldliness generally), know you not that the friendship of the world.(*).is enmity with God?
   A lot of people trust in money, and have not yet reached the place in their existence on earth where spiritual concerns supersede physical identifications:.Matthew 19:23

James 4:5 Do you think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwells in us lusts.(original is 'excessively desires').to envy.(original is same word as 'sin', and means to 'miss the mark'; saying that that is the way we are, the way we are built; the way we came here; the nature we have – subject to constantly missing the mark)?

James 4:6 But he gives more grace. Wherefore he says, God resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil.(how?), and he will flee from you.

James 4:8 Draw near to God and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, you.(word 'ye' {old English for 'you', not in original).sinners and purify your hearts, you.(word 'ye', here also not in original) double minded.(no settled principles; not grounded in the faith yet {*}; being of 2 minds, one negative {the monster in you; you at your worst; the mass mind thinking of the majority of humankind}, and the higher side of your expression, or the good you know how to be, and it's your selection of which one you'll give energy to:.Matthew 7:13,14).

James 4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaks evil of his brother and judges his brother, speakes evil of the law and judges the law: but if you judge the law, you art not a doer of the law, but a judge..(*)

James 4:13 Go to now, you.(those that figure they are in charge of their lives 1) 2).that say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city and continue there a year and buy and sell and get gain. 

James 4:14 Whereas you know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.(so, what to do then?).

James 4:15 For that you ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

James 4:16 But now you rejoice in your boastings. All such rejoicing is evil.

James 4:17 Therefore to him that knows to do good and does it not, to him it is sin.

James 5:1.Go to now, you rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.

James 5:2,3 Your riches are corrupted and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered and the rust of them shall be a witness against you and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. You have heaped treasure together for the last days.

James 5:4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth; and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

James 5:5,6 You have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; you have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. You have condemned and killed the just; and he does not resist you.

James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

James 5:8 Be you also patient; stablish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord draws nigh.

James 5:9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned. Behold, the judge standeth before the door.

James 5:12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath. But let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest you fall into condemnation.

James 5:13 Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

James 5:14 Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

James 5:15 And the prayer.(the original meaning involves 'the prominent thought is that of boldness and freedom in approach to God').of faith shall save the sick and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be.("shall be" not in original; inserted for clarity in reading, but does slightly change the tenor; better if it had said: 'they are forgiven').forgiven him.

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

James 5:17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are and he prayed earnestly.(word earnestly not in original Greek).that it might not rain; and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.

James 5:18 And he prayed again and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converts the sinner from the error of his way saves a soul from death and hides.(covers - how?).a multitude of sins..(also 1Peter 4:8)
